  25. Another interesting thing you could do is supply FrameMaker commands
  26. by voice.  I've been playing around with a demo of IN3 Voice Command,
  27. and I was extremely surprised at how accurate the recognition
  28. capabilities are.  The demo only allows you to define a limited lexicon
  29. (like page up and down, paragraph catalog, etc.), but the full blown
  30. package allows you to define whatever commands you want.

  32. I have no idea how much adding a huge lexicon impacts the performance
  33. of the system.

  35. You need a SPARC with OpenWindows 3.0 to run the demo.  I'm using the
  36. mike that came with my Sun to run the demo, but Command Corp. recommends
  37. getting a better mike for heavy usage of the full blown package.

  39. Anyway, the demo is free, and it's an interesting idea.  Of course, the
  40. downside is, everyone who passes your office while you are using it
  41. thinks you are completely insane.
