- 2>No offense to anybody who bought a tandy, but what are the possible advantages
- 2>of having a comp when the upgrades are 1.limited 2.expensive and 3.bad quality.
- 2>I have a friend who just bought a comp. from tandy(smart guy huh?) and wanted
- 2>to get a game port for his computer. When he went over to the local store he
- 2>was told that it would cost him approx. $200 for the port!!! Maybe in some
- 2>small cities or wacked out larger ones the prices are down but i doubt it.
- 2>It just makes me mad when i hear about the idiotic things that radio shack
- 2>does!

- Actually your "friend" is grossly misinformed. First of all all Tandy 1000's
- have game ports built in. It is just a matter of knowing how to set the
- software up for it. Second of all, like all retail stores, you cannot be
- rest-assured that a sales person will know what theya are talking about. The
- tandy 1000 series computers are IBM compatible, so your friend could have
- gotten a game port from anywhere. Finally your friend may have been looking
- for more than a simple "game card".
