  12. My son has a Tandy 1000RL.  We have three questions:
  13.  
  14. 1) The computer originally had 512K of RAM.  He bought and installed
  15. 256K of additional memory (two chips).  The computer now says "768 K"
  16. when we turn it on, but after it's finished booting we can only find
  17. 640K.  Yes, I know DOS has a 640K limit, but I thought we could use
  18. the extra 128K for loading TSR's or for a RAMdisk.  Where is this
  19. memory and how is it accessible?
  20.  
  21. 2) How can one access the sound and music systems, other than through
  22. DeskMate?  We'd like to do some programming.
  23.  
  24. 3) Is there a technical reference manual for this computer, and where
  25. is it available?  The sales people at Radio Shack have been completely
  26. out of their depth on these questions.
