- My son has a Tandy 1000RL. We have three questions:
-
- 1) The computer originally had 512K of RAM. He bought and installed
- 256K of additional memory (two chips). The computer now says "768 K"
- when we turn it on, but after it's finished booting we can only find
- 640K. Yes, I know DOS has a 640K limit, but I thought we could use
- the extra 128K for loading TSR's or for a RAMdisk. Where is this
- memory and how is it accessible?
-
- 2) How can one access the sound and music systems, other than through
- DeskMate? We'd like to do some programming.
-
- 3) Is there a technical reference manual for this computer, and where
- is it available? The sales people at Radio Shack have been completely
- out of their depth on these questions.
