- Hello, netlanders!
-
- There's been some talk about changing our CAD-system from a Sun based
- system to IBM RS6000 and Catia. However, I am not so sure our
- bigbosses are doing something very sensible.
-
- Would you, fellow netlanders, tell me why I should or should not want
- to do this change. What are the pros and cons of RS6000 when compared
- to Sun?
-
- (We are now using Sun IPC (and Sun SS1, SS1+ and Sun 386i), but the
- IBM's would have to be much faster machines as Catia is (I think) much
- heavier program than the one we are using now. We have three Sun
- 4/370s as fileservers and about 70 workstations.)
