  17. There's been some talk about changing our CAD-system from a Sun based
  18. system to IBM RS6000 and Catia. However, I am not so sure our
  19. bigbosses are doing something very sensible.
  20.  
  21. Would you, fellow netlanders, tell me why I should or should not want
  22. to do this change. What are the pros and cons of RS6000 when compared
  23. to Sun?

  25. (We are now using Sun IPC (and Sun SS1, SS1+ and Sun 386i), but the
  26. IBM's would have to be much faster machines as Catia is (I think) much
  27. heavier program than the one we are using now. We have three Sun
  28. 4/370s as fileservers and about 70 workstations.)
