- Because of a paperwork snafu (Sun's, of course) we did not received our
- upgrade to SunOS 4.1.2 until recently. But, one day (today) UPS
- delivers boxes containing SunOS 4.1.3. I thought SunOS 4.1.3 was for
- sun4m kernals only and we have sun4c systems. Is this correct or can it
- be run on sun4c systems?
-
- Also, I was glancing through the documentation and I noticed that the
- installation for 4.1.1 is performed by booting from the CD. Why? This
- is supposed to be a "dot" release and it's only supposed to be an
- upgrade. I know I haven't read the entire document carefully but it
- seems to me that this is a change from the past. Why? Is this thing
- going to want to scribble all over my disk where I have to backup all my
- disks?
-
- For an upgrade, this is distressing... I guess I will put this off
- until I have more time.
-
- <flames deleted... but needless to say Sun is loosing a customer>
