- I was wondering if any clone manufacturers are considering staying with
- SunOS 4.1.X instead of going to Solaris 2.0? The crap that our group
- would have to go through to port to Solaris 2.0 is immense. We have
- roughly 60 SPARCs and no $$ support for porting old software. We are
- cutting back new purchases until we figure out what to do on this front.
-
- It would be nice if a clone manufacturer would consider purchasing source
- to SunOS 4.1.3 and market the OS plus their machines. We would probably
- stop purchasing from Sun and go with the clone vendor. Just a thought.
