- I am in the process of researching for the best laser printer
- for my money. We have recently looked at SUNs latest printer
- which uses the memory on the SUN. Unfortunately, I don't have
- the product list at hand, I have forgotten the item number and
- name. Our biggest problem is finding a printer that can sit
- on the network and be accessed by a heterogenous environment.
- The majority of the work will be done with a SUN but others
- such as an SGI will also use the printer. (We are planning
- to use the SUN as the queue manager). Our second problem
- we are planning to use the printer to print images. We are
- currently working on a NASA project and alot of the work we
- do involves images.
-
- If anyone in network land has a printer they are currently using
- in this type of enviroment and really enjoy it, could you
- please send me information on the company, item name, any
- capabilities, costs and phone number. I would greatly
- appreciate the information.
-
- Thanks,
- Keith
