- I'm interested in getting another SS2-class machine, but I'm
- a little reluctant to shell out for an IPX or SS2, given what
- they cost, especially since I hear that a $5K color machine
- from Sun is due out sometime. On the other hand, I could use a new
- machine sooner than 6+ months from now, so I'm weighing all sorts
- of economic factors.
-
- In the process of trying to decide what to do, I was wondering
- what the going rate is for a SS2 clone from the handful clone makers.
- Is there a significant price difference? Is it really a clone
- performance-wise? Is any one of them a particularly good deal?
- Where do you buy these things, anyway?
