  13. I recently inherited an enclosure containing a 1/4" tape drive and a
  14. Micropolis 1355 disk drive.  Unfortunately, there was no documentation
  15. with it.

  17. I want to hook it up to a Sun 3/50 and use it as the boot disk.  I was
  18. able to bring up MUNIX from a boot tape, and it saw the drive as sd2.
  19. After formatting and partitioning the disk I tried copying the miniroot
  20. to sd2b and kept getting "no device" errors.  When I do a dkinfo on the
  21. sd2 device (from MUNIX) I get:

  29. The 'unit #8' doesn't look quite right to me.  I used '8' as the unit when
  30. I copied miniroot to sd2b and things went fine.  I was able to install the
  31. SunOS without errors.  But, when I tried rebooting (using sd(0,2,0) vmunix)
  32. I get 'No Device' errors.

  34. How can I make the system 'see' the drive at boot time, and I'd like to 
  35. make the drive sd0 while I'm at it.  Anyone know the right jumpers to 'jump'
  36. or 'unjump?'
