- We had a TV tech look over some of our tubes which had a similar
- condition. He managed to improve them to a degree, but said they were
- simply nearing the end of their functional lifetimes. The adjustments
- he made did make them a bit brighter, but at a cost of driving the
- electronics harder and presumably reducing the remaining life.

- Any good TV tech should be able to work on those monitors, and the
- savings on shipping cost alone vs sending them out is tremendous.
