  12. Well, I know it can be done....

  14. One option is to buy a Centronics parallel Sbus card.  What's the
  15. cheapest one?  I recall reading about a $199 Centronics parallel sbus
  16. card somewhere....

  18. Another possibility is a serial->parallel converter, which is probably
  19. alot cheaper.  The problem (?) here is that the cheap ones (<$65) I've
  20. found only do hardware flow control.  It seems, though, that the
  21. hardware flow control is in the correct direction (i.e. output from
  22. the ss1 to the serial-parallel converter) for it to work (I know this
  23. is an oft-hashed over point, so I just RTFM'd on termios/CRTSCTS to
  24. double check).  Can anyone confirm that this does indeed work
  25. correctly?  Recommendations?
