  12. I am unable to use tip, with the above modem, on a Sparc ELC.  Some details
  13. follow.  Any 'tips' appreciated!

  15. setup:    sun os 4.1.2, sparc elc
  16.     v.32/v.4 bis modem, through serial port 1
  17.     communicating with /dev/cua1, per sun documentation
  18.  
  19. symptoms:    tip dials correctly
  20.         as soon as tip connects to remote host, it hangs up, or
  21.             cites 'unkown machine type' as an error.
  22.  
  23. note:        kermit works fine with the above set-up.
