  17. IPXs have only 4 slots for SIMMs, so they have never been shipped with 1MB 
  18. SIMMs. Most of our IPXs were ordered in December, and arrived in January with 
  19. a single 16MB SIMM each. All the ones ordered since then have as well. 16MB 
  20. SIMMS are the only way you will get past 16MB total memory in an IPX, so 
  21. that's definitely the way to go.

  23. If you're paranoid, you could specify on your PO that it be equipped with a
  24. single 16MB SIMM. Then you can send it back if for some reason it doesn't :-).
  25. But I don't think any of them are being shipped with 4x4MB these days.
