  16. The IPX's (and the ELC's) only have 4 slots.  A 4MB or 16MB SIMM may
  17. be installed in any available slot.  The memory used provides addressing
  18. for a full 32 bit word on one SIMM, as opposed to 4 SIMMS.  This allows
  19. memory to be added one unit at a time.

  21. All of our IPX's came shipped with one 16MB SIMM.  This leaves three slots
  22. open for a max. of 64MB.

  24. Also take note of the order in which Sun recommends filling in the slots
  25. (1, 3, 2, 4).
