  11. This problem crosses a lot of boundaries, and I'm not sure what the
  12. best group(s) to pose it to is/are, but comp.os.msdos.desqview and
  13. comp.sys.sun.apps seem like good starting points.

  15. I've got a 386 notebook ordered, and I'm about to order Desqview/X.
  16. My primary purpose in all of this is to be able to dialin from home
  17. or on the road and run SunNet Manager (on my Sparcstation 2) from
  18. the notebook.  The SNM documentation says that in order to do this,
  19. you must run an "OpenLook-compliant" window manager.  Since they
  20. never go to any great lengths to define precisely what they mean by
  21. OpenLook-compliant, I'm uncertain as to whether or not I need the
  22. DV/X OpenLook Window Manager or not.  Is the standard window manager
  23. for DV/X "compliant" enough, do I need the OpenLook Window Manager,
  24. or can I just fire up OpenLook itself remotely, then run SNM from there?
  25. My limited experience with X windows is showing, and I'd appreciate
  26. any insight anyone can provide.  Thanks.
