- I spent the last couple hours using Sunvision 1.1's IP program to manipulate
- some "ratserfile format" images. It didn't go very well. I first tried
- loading in some 8 bit images. They were recognizable and the colors mostly
- correct, but many had "holes" or "tears" where it appeared th color-map
- was mis-translated. Some images were more susceptible than others.

- I then tried loading some mono images. That went a liitle better but when
- I went to save them they were saved in .vff format. When I tried to
- convert them to rasterfiles with vff2ras the images came out "negative"
- relative to the originals. And the files were many times larger.

- Any standard solutions or workarounds? Come to think of it I haven't had
- much luck with most of Sun's format conversion utilties.
