- I am having a few headaches trying to install Transcript 3.0 on a
- SUN Sparc 2 to drive a Apple Laser Writer IIf, and I was wondering
- if anybody could give me a hand. I tried Adobe (for 2 weeks) and
- no success whatsoever....
-
- First I had a lot of problems getting the right PPD (PS Printer
- Description file) from Adobe, but now I have it and this part
- seems to be fine. But whenever I try to print a file with more
- than 1 page I get an error from the printer, logged in the log-file:

- Small PS files print fine, bu I cannot print anything with more than one
- page, even though the PS files print elsewhere just fine.
-
- The problem has been tracked down, by a couple o people on the net, to an
- error in one of the PROMS of the Laser Writer, for which Adobe has issued
- a fix in the files "pscomm.bsd". And one of them even sent me the "patch"
- file for the fix, but the patch file is for version 2.9 of the pscomm.bsd
- file and what I have is ver 3.0, so the patch is no good. I tried to patch
- it by hand, using commom sense, the new pscomm.c compiled fine but IT STILL
- DOES NOT WORK.
-
- Does anybody out there knows what is going on, and can give me some clues .. ?
