  14. Many of the admins on campus have reported similar sendmail behavior
  15. after upgrading to 4.1.2 - it seems to "forget" who the local users
  16. are after running for a while.  A fix that seems to work is to move
  17. the sendmail daemon startup command ("/usr/lib/sendmail -bd -q1h")
  18. to the end of rc.local.  I haven't heard a plausible explanation as
  19. to why this works, although some believe it to be a race condition
  20. with ypbind, which is also starting up about this time.
