- Summary: What cable pinouts do I need?
- Keywords: cable console Sun server hang
- Lines: 20
-
- I've seen this subject discussed several times in this newsgroup, but
- haven't encountered the problem until now -
-
- I am looking after a Sun 670 server which has an NCD X terminal attached
- as a console terminal (serial connection). When the NCD is turned off,
- the machine hangs. (This is apparently a generic serial console problem
- and is not NCD-specific).
-
- Do I need a different serial cable? If so, what are the pinouts required?
- If not, what do I do now?
-
- Responses by email please, if there is enough interest I will summarise
- and post.
