- We received our first copy of SunOS 4.1.3 yesterday; as with 4.1.2, the media
- has preceded the release notes. Since several others have already posted
- about having installed 4.1.3, you might be able to answer these questions:
-
- 1) Does 4.1.3 have OpenWindows 3.n.m bundled, or does it still have
- Ow2.0 as a transition, like 4.1.2 did? If OW3.n.m, is it 3.0, or
- (hopefully) 3.0.1 or higher, such as is bundled with Solaris 2.0.
-
- In particular, I'm wondering if I need to keep and reinstall the
- various patches I've gotten, especially the ones which fix the
- "undefined symbol" problems when building X11 applications.
-
- 2) What is the state of SunOS 4.1.3 with respect to security-related
- patches: are the LD_LIBRARY_PATH, sendmail, and secure NIS patches
- included?
