- I believe sending a SIGHUP signal (kill -SIGHUP <pid>) will cause it to re-read the
- /etc/mtab file; however, I don't think this is exactly what you had in mind. I
- don't seem to recall any other way other than shutting down the automounter and
- restarting it.
