  11. How does one get the automounter to notice that you have changed
  12. auto.master?

  14. As best I can tell, you have to actually kill and restart the
  15. automounter (yuck).  Is this really true?  If so, it orphans any
  16. existing auto-mounted file systems, so they are not unmounted until
  17. the next reboot.  So you may as well reboot the machine anyway.
