-
- When I called SunExpress to find out what was going on I was told that I
- could still order from them and have two options:
-
- 1) Pay the price listed in their catalog and have the item shipped as the
- have been doing in the past (takes just a few days to arrive).
-
- 2) Pay the lower, discounted price and allow a couple of weeks to pass
- before receiving the item.
-
-
- Additionally, the SunExpress agent will be able to quote both prices to me
- when I call. I don't have to contact any other Sun sales rep. in order
- to order the items.
-
- The reason, as explained to me, for the longer delivery time (for discounted
- orders) is that the order must go through one of the other subsidiaries of
- Sun before it can be sent out (I think that this should not be the case).
-
- I believe that the _basic_ change that this represents is good. Sun has
- FINALLY done some competitive pricing for their peripherals. This should
- help SunExpress financially (just my gut reaction...finances are definitely
- not my forte'). The problem is that it is making the procedure a bit more
- precarious for those of us who can enjoy the discount. I hope that SunExpress
- can fix this inconvenience -- it ought to be within their power to do so.
