  11. Hi.... Guess what... I got troubles again... and  I hope you all can help me
  12. (yet again).

  14. I have a Sun 3/60 with a 150 meg SCSI drive with SunOS 4.1 installed and
  15. I did a bad thing.  While I was "learning," I accidently activated
  16. the NIS functions... Now, when my standalone boots, it forever asks
  17. where server noname is... "NIS: server "noname" is not responding;
  18. still trying."  It starts this well before I get a login prompt...
  19. Is there anyway I can make it "stop trying..?"  I know what to
  20. do to fix this once I get logged on, but I can't break out of that
  21. loop to get on...  Please... there must be SOME way to fix this
  22. without a reinstall...
