- I just downloaded this. Currently it uses serial ports on the console
- server machine. Does anyone know of something like this that can use TCP
- connections?
-
- We already have a Xyplex terminal server that has serial ports that can be
- connected to the console port of various Suns. You can telnet to a TCP
- port on the Xyplex and it passes the connection through to a corresponding
- serial port. It would be nice if the console-server could make use of this
- facility, instead of using serial ports directly.
-
- I suppose it could be kludged by using ptys. The master side of each pty
- would be a daemon that connects to the Xyplex, and the slave side would be
- listed in /etc/constab.
