  18. I just downloaded this.  Currently it uses serial ports on the console
  19. server machine.  Does anyone know of something like this that can use TCP
  20. connections?

  22. We already have a Xyplex terminal server that has serial ports that can be
  23. connected to the console port of various Suns.  You can telnet to a TCP
  24. port on the Xyplex and it passes the connection through to a corresponding
  25. serial port.  It would be nice if the console-server could make use of this
  26. facility, instead of using serial ports directly.

  28. I suppose it could be kludged by using ptys.  The master side of each pty
  29. would be a daemon that connects to the Xyplex, and the slave side would be
  30. listed in /etc/constab.
