- I'm having a problem with sendmail on a IPC (OS4.1.2). After some mysterious
- event, sendmail nolonger delivers mail. I bounces the mail back and reports
- "user not found" when mail is sent to this machine. I suspect that this
- problem is related to a core in our /var/spool/mail, which is mounted from
- our server. The core is from in.comsat which seems to crash occasionally
- for no appearent reason (the last one was in the middle of the night).
- The configuration for this machine is identical to the others with the
- exception that it is running 4.1.2 instead of 4.1.1. At first I suspected
- a OS conflict but we recently got two new machines also running 4.1.2 and
- have had no problems. I have not found a patch for this but suspect there
- is one. Does anyone know what causes this and which patch works? I'm
- getting desperate enough to try calling Sun again but without a answerline
- contract...
- Thanks in advance for any help.
- Oh. one more note, biff has never worked on any machine but I suspect that
- is due to the network.
