- Depends on whether you have 60 meter (120 minute) or 90 meter (180 minute)
- tapes. I just start from the exabyte numbers, and divide capacities
- appropriately (60 meter holds 1.3 Gb, 90 meter holds 2.0 Gb, and
- 'standard' (112 meter) 8mm holds 2.3 Gb, to round numbers.

- use a density of 54000 and length of 6000 feet while using 8mm

- So I would use a density of 54000 (its all bogus anyway) for DAT, and
- a length of 6000/(2.3/1.3) for 60m DAT, or 3391 feet (I'd probably
- round it down to 3350 to give you a margin of safety).
