  30. Hmm.  there was an IP4 SCSI bug in 4.0.[2-4] fixed in 4.0.5, but
  31. the symptoms were somewhat different.  This one sounds to me like
  32. bad termination, or cabling on the SCSI bus.  The bug wasn't in
  33. 4.0.1, I'm pretty sure.  Check for more than one SCSI device having
  34. terminators, or no terminators on the last SCSI device.

  36. Just to be sure though, you could make sure that the new sash did
  37. in fact get installed in the volume header, by using
  38.     cd /tmp
  39.     dvhtool -v g sash sash
  40.     odump -fv sash
  41. assuming you have the development tools.  If it is really the 4.0.5
  42. sash, the date will be in June (or was it July; how time flies ;)
  43. of 1992.
