- I am starting to add texturing to several graphics
- programs and I have a few general questions:
-
- 1) longimagedata: is the source for this program
- available? The readme in 4Dgifts/examples/vgx/texture
- reads as if it should be present in that directory, but
- it isn't. It would be nice if it returned the x,y dimensions
- of the image, as well as allowing a "~" or $HOME in the path.
-
- 2) What is the hardware texture image memory size for
- a five span vgx system? (the manual states it is 2.5X less than
- ten span, but does not give #'s.)
-
- 3) Is the source for powerflip available as an example of
- more advanced texture mapping options? Or are there other good
- examples available via ftp?
-
- 4) I would like to map an image onto an object so that it
- stretches as the object deforms, is this possible with texgen, or
- do I need to generate the texture coordinates? (a. powerflip seems
- to do a nice job on this, how?)
