- Well, if the bit stream is unreliable, a little HDLC encoding in software
- should help. But, if the on-tape format is anything like the on-disc
- format of CD-DA, then the tape should be pretty reliable.

- As long as you don't underflow while writing to the tape, everything
- should work pretty well. You could get one nice big tar file on one
- of those tapes. Yeah it's gross to pump your files through AES/EBU, but
- it's a tempting hack.
