- In the 4.0.5 release notes, this item caught my eye:
-
- On the G and GT/GTX systems with RV1 board sets, logical
- pixel operations are slow except for the replace logical
- operation. To find out whether you have a G system or a
- GT/GTX with RV1 board sets, use /usr/gfx/gfxinfo or the
- getgdescr(GD_LOGICOP) call in the graphics library.
-
- What does the "1" in RV1 refer to? Does it mean I have a
- RV board at hardware rev 1 (which I could expect to get the
- field engineer to swap as part of the regular maintaince $$)
- or does it mean I have a RV1 board at hardware rev X (which
- I would be stuck with, for as long as I have the machine.)
-
- More importantly, is the performance problem anything to
- worry about? Maybe there's a snippet of code that someone
- has that would demonstrate the problem?
