  14. If a line in my fstab looks like:

  20. should the 'bg' and 'soft' options prevent network lockups when one
  21. machine (nfs server) goes down?  We have several sgi machines cross
  22. mounted and it seems that whenever one goes down the hard way (and
  23. sometimes even when its brought down nicely) the rest of the machines
  24. lock up.  That is to say, you can log in, but get no prompt in any 
  25. of the shells.

  27. Man pages lead me to believe that I might need different values for
  28. timeout and retransmission.
