  11. After upgrading to IRIX 4.0.5 I discovered that the installation
  12. overwrote /etc/inittab, thereby turning off our dialin ports.
  13. I ran into this while working through the changed versions, but I can't
  14. see any justification for this, since none of the other lines are
  15. changed.  I suggest that an inittab.N file be installed rather than
  16. replacing inittab as a default.  Does anybody see any logic to the
  17. current practice?
