- I have a Kodak XL7700 color printer connected to my Iris
- via SCSI cable. I use /usr/lib/print/k77print to get my
- pictures to the printer. This works technically fine, but
- I am not quite satisfied with the correspondence of screen
- and printer colors.
- The Kodak printer has lots of configuration parameters and
- tables for fine-tuning its color appearance. The question is:
-
- How could I get these data to the printer??
-
- When I call k77print by hand, it tells something about giving
- it a 'colormap' or a '-f configfile'; but it isn't very
- specific about the format of either colormap or configfile.
-
- Is there any documentation around, which I possibly missed?
- Is there any (perhaps undocumented) possibility to send a
- string command to the printer using k77print?
- Is - by any chance - the source code of k77print available?
- (I saw iisc.c, an Apple LaserWriter II SCSI driver, on
- /usr/people/4Dgifts/examples/devices...)
- Or, does anyone know who at SGI (or somewhere else?) wrote
- this piece of software?
-
- BTW my PI 4D30TG runs 4.0.1 (if this matters...)
-
- Please email or post, any hints are welcome! Thanks.
