  12. I'm using the 'totiff' utility from the NASA iris site @ Langley to 
  13. convert *.rgb to TIFF. Then it is transported to Mac for incorporation
  14. into a Pagemaker document.

  16. Problem a):  Pagemaker dislikes this kind of TIFF, it puts some
  17.              horizontal running black lines into the picture
  18.              in a random way.
  19.  
  20.              Any other Mac Programm (e.g. Adobe Illustrator) has
  21.              no trouble with it.

  23.              Does anyone know about this? Unfortunately I must use
  24.              Pagemaker.

  26. Problem b):  The printing service has recommended to use a 4-color
  27.              TIFF, what means that black is stored into a own
  28.              layer. This would stop the printing machine from
  29.              mixing up black out of red, green & blue.
  30.              (And results into a more clear print)

  32.              Does there exist a utility for this "4 color TIFF"?
