- The 3.10 compilers will run on any SGI system based on an R3000 or R4000.
- There is improved support for the R4000 in them (use the option -mips2),
- but an earlier release (the 2.20 release) also had this support.

- I'm not sure what your sales rep. meant.

- You do need the 4.1 Development System release to run those two products,
- though, since they depend on the back ends that come with 4.1.
