  14. We are doing some visual motion perception experiments, and need to be
  15. able to determine precisely when the monitor is in vertical retrace.  
  16.  
  17. Presumably, we could use gsync() to synchronize the displays in single-
  18. buffered mode, but this still does not show when the machine is in retrace,
  19. and gsync() seems to occaisionally miss a retrace or two.  Is there any simple
  20. way to detect when the vertical retrace occurs?
