  22. SGI is now shipping a product called Impressario which does this for
  23. HP DeskJet 500C printers.  It supports SGI Image, text, and Color
  24. PostScript to the printer as well.  DeskJets and PaintJets aren't the
  25. same, though.

  29. I recommend the parallel port, there's fewer configurations to worry
  30. about and its a LOT faster.

  35. Check out Impressario, it may well be worth a little $$ (and less time
  36. spent) to add Color PostScript capability to these printers.  You'll
  37. still have to write the converter from generic bitmap to printer
  38. (PCL2??) format, but that's all you'll need to do.
