  16. There's a nicer package called "vspell" that should run O.K. on a SGI.

  18. You can get it from archive.cis.ohio-state.edu in the /pub/att7300/STORE
  19. directory as "VSPELL+IN.Z."

  21. Note that this is not the same as the vspell.tar-z file at some sites.

  23. This is a compressed cpio archive which contains some extra glue
  24. required for automatic installation on the AT&T "UNIX-PC."

  26. Unpack with zcat VSPELL+IN.Z | cpio -icdvu.

  28. It has a nice curses-based interface that displays errors in paragraph
  29. context and will try to suggest alternatives for correction.  It manages
  30. a local dictionary as well, and can be integrated into EMACS and
  31. MicroEMACS if desired.
