- Sorry if this is a FAQ. Pete Paraska indicated recently that he was looking
- for a user-friendly tool for DAT tape drivesfor users who have bad experiences
- with mt and tar. Has someone out there written a tool to make backups on 1/4"
- tape drives more automated? This would be so that incremental backups are
- easily accomplished, that is, one wouldn't write over one's old data each time,
- rather fast forwarding past that data to the end to write the new data. In
- addition, it would hopefully restore data in a similar fashion. I'm sorry to
- bother everyone with this, but I don't have the time to work it all out. If
- someone has already set this up, could I talk you out of a copy? Or is this
- available from SGI? Thanks in advance!!!
