- I've been acting as postmaster for about a year on an old Sun 3/60;
- little memory; little disk space; and a decomiited OS from Sun;
- plus no budget or commitment fronmm mgmt to spend any more money on
- upgrading it to a Sparc; but we do have a new NeXT machine that came
- in for someone who is moving on - such a deal for me!
- But, in my first glance at it, its sys config is quite a bit diff
- than the Sun. I'd been hoping to put Smail on it, along with News (B or C?)
- and run POP3 and NNTP servers on it for Mac/PC access.
- Our current connection is a simple dialup (Telebit) to uunet - we're looking
- to change to a SLIP or PPP link to PSI (or some other available service.)
- Am I crazy for wanting to do this? Should I reconsider and try for a
- Sparc upgrade? Or is it really that bad after all?

- PS: pointers to good archive sites on the net would also be appreciated!
