  18. That's why you want a UPS with alarm contacts, a serial port, or
  19. a network interface (don't laugh)--some way of telling the
  20. machine to prepare for the worst.  The nicer ones monitor
  21. "environmental conditions" as well as the power.  In California,
  22. a ground motion sensor might not be such a bad thing.  In parts
  23. east ... an anemometer perhaps?
