- I have had no problems remote-printing from another machine (HP
- 9000/345) to my NeXT, so I don't see why it should not be possible
- between two NeXT-en (is that the correct plural;)?), using the uslual
- printcap entry, like:
- phps|Physics Apple Laserwriter :\
- :lp=:rm=hydra.acs.uci.edu:rp=gadget:\
- :sd=/usr/spool/lpd/phps:\
- :lf=/usr/adm/lpd-errs:
- (replace the rm and rp with the correct names on your system), and
- enter the "other" system in each /etc/host.lpd file.
- Oh yes, don't forget to niload the modified printcap back into netinfo
- memory.
- [I usually nidump critical files like princap, passwd, fstab, each
- night, so I have up-to-date copies to work with as backups, in case
- netinfo gets corrupted.]
