  14. I have had no problems remote-printing from another machine (HP
  15. 9000/345) to my NeXT, so I don't see why it should not be possible
  16. between two NeXT-en (is that the correct plural;)?), using the uslual
  17. printcap entry, like:
  18. phps|Physics Apple Laserwriter :\
  19.         :lp=:rm=hydra.acs.uci.edu:rp=gadget:\
  20.         :sd=/usr/spool/lpd/phps:\
  21.         :lf=/usr/adm/lpd-errs:
  22. (replace the rm and rp with the correct names on your system), and
  23. enter the "other" system in each /etc/host.lpd file. 
  24. Oh yes, don't forget to niload the modified printcap back into netinfo
  25. memory. 
  26. [I usually nidump critical files like princap, passwd, fstab, each
  27. night, so I have up-to-date copies to work with as backups, in case
  28. netinfo gets corrupted.]
