  27. This is a fairly commonly asked question - is it in the FAQs? 
  28. In any case I believe the answer is no, you can't share a NeXT printer  
  29. unless you "turn on" NetInfo.  I don't know why it can't behave like a  
  30. normal BSD/lpd/printcap printer when NetInfo is not being used.

  32. A lot of people are scared about turning on NetInfo - I know I was at  
  33. first.  NetInfo will happily run without interfering with you or even NIS.

  47. All NeXT applications can print to a PostScript file - that is currently  
  48. the only printer type that is supported by the NeXT. Otherwise you'd have  
  49. to save it to a different format and print it via some other utility (say,  
  50. lpr).

  52. I don't know what happens in 3.0 with the support for non-PostScript  
  53. printers like the Epsons, etc.  Can you print to a file with those?  Any  
  54. 3.0 users?
