  12. I've been asked to see if I can locate a good free/cheap implementation of
  13. Common Lisp for NeXT TurboSlabs running NeXTstep 2/3 - and yes, I believe 
  14. that that rules out Allegro.  In particular, we are looking for a CL that 
  15. implements CLOS - the "Object System".
  16.  
  17. So far as I can tell, the four leading CL players are:

  19. Allegro & Lucid - both costly commercial implementations
  20. [Austin] Kyoto  - doesn't include CLOS
  21. CMU CL          - free, good, does CLOS, for Mach,...but not for NeXTs!

  23. Can anyone correct me on any of these points?
  24. Are there any alternatives that I haven't heard of?
