- Sorry if this question has been asked and answered several times but
- I am new to this group and have not seen any related postings here.
-
- My question is this, we have a network of NeXT machines each running
- NeXTmail and their mailboxes are local on each users machine. These
- people want to be able to read/reply to there mail from on the road
- using either a notebook PC or a PowerBook dialing in through a SLIP
- line. I have looked into running a POP server on each machine and
- then using a POP SLIP client on the portables but then either the
- mail remains in the mail spool to be gotten a second time by the
- POP client or it is removed from the spool not allowing
- incorporation into the Nextmail system. I recall some mention of
- PINE in an earler posting, will that do what we need.
-
- Any feedback on this problem would be helpful. I am new to Nextmail
- and pointers would be very useful.
