  10. I've become more than a little bit frustrated with our friend, ixBuild.  All I  
  11. want to do is something like

  13. ixBuild -d basename

  15. But the -d switch doesn't seem to do what the man file claims.. It doesn't send  
  16. any parameters of value, most notably not the name of the file being  
  17. processed..

  19. -r doesn't seem to work either.. I try to send it a list like

  21. pathname descriptor\n
  22. pathname descriptor\n
  23.  
  24. And it worked on the first filename, and then failed on the second line: it  
  25. thought that I meant "pathname descriptor" as the pathname.. (I.e. it didn't  
  26. recognize the white space in the second line).

  28. Is anyone following me?  What the heck is going on?  Should I just give up on  
  29. ixBuild as a lousy program that was never debugged except to the extent that  
  30. the Digital Librarian interface needed it, or am I just missing something?  Who  
  31. has used this successfully?  My goal is to use it with Gopher, if that sparks  
  32. anyone's memories..
