- I've become more than a little bit frustrated with our friend, ixBuild. All I
- want to do is something like
-
- ixBuild -d basename
-
- But the -d switch doesn't seem to do what the man file claims.. It doesn't send
- any parameters of value, most notably not the name of the file being
- processed..
-
- -r doesn't seem to work either.. I try to send it a list like
-
- pathname descriptor\n
- pathname descriptor\n
-
- And it worked on the first filename, and then failed on the second line: it
- thought that I meant "pathname descriptor" as the pathname.. (I.e. it didn't
- recognize the white space in the second line).
-
- Is anyone following me? What the heck is going on? Should I just give up on
- ixBuild as a lousy program that was never debugged except to the extent that
- the Digital Librarian interface needed it, or am I just missing something? Who
- has used this successfully? My goal is to use it with Gopher, if that sparks
- anyone's memories..
