- There have been previous reports that 3.0 would have some new
- capabilities that would allow certain apps (such as SoftPC) to handle
- direct screen writes (or whatever the appropriate technical term is :-)
- much faster than is currently possible under 2.1.

- Will the current version of SoftPC benefit from these changes under
- 3.0, or will the improvement only be seen with a new release of SoftPC
- that is explicitly designed to take advantage of these new
- capabilities? In other words, will we have to shell out more money to
- see any improvement in SoftPC, or will the performance improve some
- just by virtue of it running under 3.0?
