- I am going to receive my NeXT in a week or so, and I know see from the postings
- that there is a good chance of getting 3.0 on the machine. I have already
- outlined the books I am going to order (the P.O.'s are written up), and they
- are for the 2.0 release books. (reference, developers guide, etc.) I am going
- to be jumping write in to developing an application (which is what the NeXT is
- for) and I am dreading getting 3.0 and manuals that are going to be of no use
- to me. Does anyone have any suggestions? I would love to wait an get the 3.0
- docs when they come out, but I am not going to be able to wait that long before
- I have to be knee deep in programming. Are the 2.0 books going to be of any
- help at all with 3.0? Is the documentation on the system, like in the
- librarian so I can just bag the manuals and print them out and buy them when
- they get released?
-
- Also, is there any reference manuals available now for programming on the NeXT
- (info on the compiler, classes, general rules, etc.)?
-
- Thanks a lot,
- John Zollinger (a stressed programmer)
