  15. I want a DSP Memory Map that is equivalent to Appendix C of "Sound, Music, and
  16. Signal Processing: Reference" but with (N7013) DSP 96KB Memory Expansion Kit
  17. installed.  96KB corresponds to 32Kwords at 3 bytes/word for 56001.

  19. Does the expansion kit memory add to addresses immediately above the existing
  20. DSP RAM?

  22. You see, a stock NeXT has 8Kwords of RAM starting at 8K and go upto 16Kwords
  23. for Image-1.  Image-2 for the same memory starts at $A000 which is 40Kwords.
  24. Now, the empty memory area to be filled is only (40-16) = 24Kwords.

  26. How is NeXT fitting the 32Kwords of expansion kit memory into the gap of 24Kwords?
  27. Where do the remaining 8Kwords go?

  29. Does the Expansion Kit memory replaces the existing RAM instead of adding to it?
  30. Or, gasp, does the 96KB expansion kit only contain 24Kwords (72KB) of memory,
  31. and "96KB" only refers to the total RAM after addition of the expansion kit?
  32. Someone should be shot if NeXT is calling a kit that contains 72KB of memory as
  33. "96KB" kit.

  35. Needless to say, I am totally confused on this, and I can't find any docs on it.
  36. Hardware.667 of NextAnswers is of no help.

  38. Please someone, just tell me the usable memory area for Image-1 after installation
  39. of the expansion kit.  I don't have a couple of hundred $'s to ask help from NeXT,
  40. besides I don't want to pay for info that should have been the docs in the first place.
